Asia Pacific Meeting 2026

Our Group Managing Partner – Datuk Alvin Tee, together with Chief Operating Officer – Frank Tam and Senior Manager of Practice Management Unit – Michael Wong, attended the UHY Asia Pacific Regional Meeting 2026 in Shanghai, China, hosted by Zhonghua Certified Public Accountants LLP.

Held under the theme “Celebrating 40 Years of Collaboration and Growth,” the three-day meeting brought together leaders from UHY member firms across the Asia-Pacific region and members of the UHY International Board to exchange insights, strengthen relationships and explore opportunities for cross-border collaboration and growth.

Prior to the regional meeting, Datuk Alvin attended the UHY International Board Meeting to discuss the strategic direction and future growth of the UHY network. Our delegation also visited the office of Zhonghua Certified Public Accountants LLP, further strengthening ties with our host firm.

The conference featured technical updates, business development, ESG, AI, social media, roundtable discussions, networking activities and collaborative forums, providing valuable insights into the evolving needs of businesses across the region.

During the conference, Datuk Alvin Tee delivered the opening address for the featured China session, “Why China Still Matters – The Next Decade of Opportunities for UHY Member Firms,” sharing perspectives on China’s evolving business landscape and the opportunities it presents for UHY member firms. The session also featured presentations by Managing Partner & Head of Transaction Services, Zhonghua Certified Public Accountants LLP – Frank Wu Yi Ming, and Founding Partner of TC Group – Chens Chen.
 
Datuk Alvin also moderated the panel discussion, “Working Together Across the UHY Network to Capture China Opportunities,” featuring Managing Partner & Head of Tax, UHY Haines Norton Sydney – Michael Coughtrey, Managing Director, UHY LLP – Melanie Chen, and Managing Partner & Head of Transaction Services, Zhonghua Certified Public Accountants LLP – Frank Wu Yi Ming. Together, the panel explored how closer collaboration across the UHY network can unlock new opportunities and deliver greater value for clients.

On the final day of the conference, Frank Tam was a featured speaker during the “ESG Conversation,” sharing perspectives as a member of the UHY International ESG Working Group on the growing importance of ESG and sustainable business practices.

The conference once again demonstrated the strength of the #UHYNetwork, bringing together expertise, collaboration and lasting relationships to better serve clients across borders.
