This year, we proudly sent 6 Superstars to attend the UHY Asia Pacific Regional Meeting in beautiful Boracay together with our very own Group Managing Partner, Datuk Alvin Tee and Group Managing Director, Encik Zulkharnain.

The theme for this year’s meeting was “Driving Growth Through Change”.

The event began with insightful audit and tax sessions on the first day. Our Superstars delivered presentations covering group audits, regulatory findings, transfer pricing, due diligence review and ISQM implementation. These sessions sparked great conversations and knowledge sharing.
 
The second day was particularly special. Datuk Alvin led a session on the challenges and opportunities of Public Interest Entity (PIE) auditing. He also shared our firm’s journey, ongoing efforts to improve audit quality and continuous talent development. Our Superstars gained valuable insights from sessions on the current economic landscape, UHY’s global association structure and the future of accounting practices. The Member Forum session further deepened connections and fostered collaborative thinking among delegates.

On the final day, we explored the potential of Generative AI, the future of the accounting profession and UHY branding. We joined UHY Panay Charity Run in the evening to support the Panay native community. The run marked a meaningful end to our time in Boracay. We were deeply moved by the vibrant dance performance of the Panay girls.

This 3-day event has been truly inspiring and fruitful. We made new connections and strengthened our bonds within UHY family. A heartfelt thank you to UHY M.L. Aguirre & Co.
