Asia Pacific Meeting 2025

The 2025 UHY Asia Pacific Regional Meeting in Hong Kong has officially wrapped!
 
Hosted by our member firms Tai Kong CPA Limited and UHY Prime HK CPA Ltd, this year’s theme, “Global Presence, Local Impact,” came to life as professionals from across the region gathered to exchange knowledge, strengthen bonds and push the boundaries of our collective potential.

The business programme was rich with forward-looking insights. The meeting opened with a warm welcome from our chairs, Datuk Alvin Tee and Michael Courtney, Managing Partner of UHY Haines Norton (Sydney), setting the tone for the event. Participants delved into the technical updates in audit, tax and ESG, with a strong focus on sustainable business practices. Our Audit Partner, Gerald Lee presented on ISQM 1 and regulatory reviews, while Wei Yein concluded the audit track with a thoughtful wrap-up.
 
Discussions also explored the increasing role of AI in the profession, the evolving expectations of clients, and how firms can seize new opportunities arising from shifting business movements across Asia. Strategic insight on delivering excellent customer service in a technology-driven environment, as well as expanding cross-border expertise, strengthening stronger digital presence and navigating wealth succession through family office structures added further depth to the agenda.
We were especially pleased to welcome East Wing Auditing & Consulting Co., Ltd, based in Phnom Penh, Cambodia to the UHY network. UHY is delighted to have them on board as our newest member firm, increasing our presence in the Asia Pacific region to 21 countries and expanding our global reach to 96.
